Who we are
Open Seas Networking makes it practical, approachable, and free for students who have not always been shown the path in.
The mission
Open Seas Networking is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underrepresented high school students develop the networking skills, confidence, and professional relationships needed to discover opportunities that are often not taught in school.
Our mission is to empower students to create meaningful connections that can lead to internships, research opportunities, mentorships, leadership positions, and future careers.
How did you learn to do this? They don't teach us this in school.
The founding story
The idea began with a question: How did you learn to do this? They don't teach us this in school.
After using cold outreach and informational calls to learn about the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix and secure finance-company shadowing experiences, Open Seas Networking was created so students do not have to figure out professional connection-building alone.
